SPLA PLEDGES TO END USE OF MINES

CAIRO [MENL] -- Sudanese rebels have agreed to end the use of anti-personnelmines in the civil war in against the Khartoum government. The Sudan People's Liberation Movement signed an agreement to end theuse of anti-personnel landmines in territories it controls. The agreementalso includes the production and transfer of such weapons.
