SYRIA RECEIVES MORE THAN 220,000 BPD FROM IRAQ

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- Syria is receiving more than 220,000 barrels of oil perday from Iraq in violation of United Nations sanctions. Industry sources said Syria has been receiving this rate of Iraqi oilduring 2001.
