U.S. IS SILENT ON ISRAELI RETALIATION
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The Bush administration has publicly remained silent onthe prospect of an Israeli military retaliation against the PalestinianAuthority in the aftermath of a suicide bombing in which 14 Israelis werekilled. U.S. officials, however, said the administration is urgingIsrael to exercise restraint. They said the administration wants toaccelerate efforts to implement an Israeli-PA ceasefire.
