NEW TECHNOLOGY BEING INSERTED IN APACHE COPTER

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The giants of the U.S. aerospace industry have agreedto incorporate new technology in the AH-64D Apache Longbow helicopter. Boeing and Lockheed Martin have agreed to incorporate new mid-wavetechnology into the Arrowhead sensor system as a replacement for theexisting Target Acquisition Designation Sight/ Pilot Night Vision Sensor.Executives said the Arrowhead will eventually be available both in newApaches as wellas in future upgrades.
