GCC URGES HOLDOUTS TO RATIFY DEFENSE PACT

ABU DHABI [MENL] -- The Gulf Cooperation Council is urging holdouts toratify a regional defense pact. Four out of six GCC members have ratified a defense pact that obligatesthem to come to the aid of any Gulf Arab state threatened by an outsidepower. They are Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
