ISRAEL TRAINS OFFICERS AGAINST ASSASSINATIONS

TEL AVIV [MENL] -- The Israeli military is training officers to defendthemselves against Palestinian assassination attempts. The training is meant for officers from the rank of lieutenant coloneland above. Israeli military sources said Palestinian insurgency groups,including the Fatah movement loyal to Palestinian Authority Chairman YasserArafat, have been ordered to target prominent Israelis for assassination.
