U.S. AIR FORCE WANTS LETHAL UAVs

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The U.S. Air Force has launched a project to turnunmanned air vehicles into lethal systems. The air force has awarded contracts to rival aerospace giants Boeing andLockheed Martin to develop miniaturized munitions for deployment on UAVs.The effort is meant to produce what officials term a small-diameter bomb forboth manned and unmanned aircraft.
