PAC-3 CONTINUES TO SCORE SUCCESS

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The U.S. Army reports continued success with the newPAC-3 anti-missile system, paving the way for operational flight testingnext year. In its latest test earlier this week, the Patriot Advanced Capability-3[PAC-3] intercepted and destroyed an advancedcruise missile target at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico. The targetBQM-74 cruise missile was flying at a very low altitude in a clutteredbackground.
