UAE SHORTLISTS FIRMS TO REPLACE ENRON

ABU DHABI [MENL] -- The United Arab Emirates has drafted a list of fiveenergy firms to replace U.S. giant Enron for a regional natural gas project. The state-run UAE Offsets Group seeks a buyer for Enron's 24.5 percentin the Dolphin energy project to deliver Qatari gas to the emirates. Enron,which was to construct a 350-kilometer pipeline, pulled out of the projectin May amid a dispute over the future of the project.
