UN REJECTS COMPLICITY IN HIZBULLAH ABDUCTION

TEL AVIV [MENL] -- The United Nations has rejected Israeli accusations ofcomplicity in the October kidnapping of three Israeli soldiers by Hizbullah. UN officials in Lebanon said Israel's military was lulled by theHizbullah presence along the Lebanese border with the Jewish state. Thepresence of the Hizbullah agents, the officials said, resulted in thesubsequent operation in which the Israeli soldiers were kidnapped from theShebaaplateau.
