UN BEGINS REDUCTION OF TROOPS IN LEBANON

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United Nations launches the first step in thereduction of troops along the Israeli-Lebanese border. The first step takes place on Tuesday when the Nepalese battalion endsits deployment in Lebanon. Nepal has nearly 1,000 soldiers, most of whomhave already withdrawn from the area.
