U.S. ASSURES QATAR ON ARAB-AFGHANS

ABU DHABI [MENL] -- The United States has assured Gulf Arab states that itwill not allow a massacre of Arab agents of Saudi fugitive Osama Bin Ladenin Afghanistan. Arab diplomatic sources said several Gulf Cooperation Council stateshave raised the issue with Washington. The sources said thousands ofArabs -- many of them from Gulf Arab states -- fought with Bin Laden's AlQaida in Afghanistan. In Mazar A-Sharif, 100 Arab fighters were reportedlykilled during an uprising against the Northern Alliance.
