U.S. HELPS QATAR IN SECURITY FOR WTO SESSION

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States has expressed satisfaction over thesuccess of its efforts to keep a World Trade Organization summit in Qatar. U.S. officials said the Bush administration pressed hard to ensure thatWTO trade ministers proceed with their meeting on Nov. 9 in Doha. Theofficials said Washington rebuffed concerns that the meeting would become atarget of terrorist attack.
