U.S. FORMALLY EXTENDS SANCTIONS ON IRAN, LIBYA

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States has formally extended sanctionsagainst Iran and Libya until 2006. President George Bush signed legislation that extended sanctions onIran and Libya. Bush succumbed to Congress after attempting to limit theextension to two years.
