U.S. PROBES IRAQ CONNECTION TO ANTHRAX

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States has launched an investigation intowhether Iraq is connected to the Sept. 11 suicide attacks on New York andWashington as well as the current anthrax scare. U.S. officials said they have confirmed that the suspected leader of thesuicide attacks, Mohammed Ata, met with an Iraqi intelligence official inPrague earlier this year. They said the FBI is obtaining information fromother governments on the meeting as well as that in which Iraqi officialsconvened Bin Laden aides in Baghdad in August.
