U.S. PROJECT SEEKS TO INTERCEPT CRUISE MISSILES

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States is proceeding with a project meant tointercept cruise missiles. The Pentagon program focuses on the development of a subsonic miniatureinterceptor that can track and destroy cruise missiles. Iran has procuredcruise missiles and several other Middle East states are consideringprograms to develop such low-flying projectiles.
