TURKEY'S ECONOMIC WOES BLOCK PROJECTS

ANKARA [MENL] -- Turkey's nagging economic woes are blocking the completionof the nation's key military projects. Defense sources said the renewed economic crisis has prevented thegovernment from signing an estimated $300 million contract for thestate-owned Israel Military Industries to upgrade M-60 tanks. An Israelidelegation has been negotiating the final details of the contract.
