YEMEN SENDS REINFORCEMENTS IN BIN LADEN BATTLE

CAIRO [MENL] -- Yemen has sent reinforcements to the eastern border withSaudi Arabia to battle insurgents aligned with Osama Bin Laden. The reinforcements arrived hours after a battle between Yemeni troopsand tribal insurgents in the Maarib district about 180 kilometers northeastof Sanaa. Twenty-five people were killed in the clash, about half of themmembers of the Yemeni security forces. Another 20 were reported injured.
