TURKEY COMPLAINS OF GREEK AIR HARASSMENT

ANKARA [MENL] -- Turkey reports a significant increase in the number ofconfrontations with Greek combat jets over the disputed Aegean Sea in whatis said to mark a return of tension between the two countries. Turkish military sources said the Greek harassment included attemptedinterceptions of Turkish jets in the airspace over areas claimed by Ankara.The sources said they believe the increase in air encounters reflects angerin Athens over Turkey's inclusion in the European Union military force.
