EU WITHDRAWS DEMAND FOR LEBANON TO END TERRORISM
LONDON [MENL] -- The European Union has withdrawn a demand for Lebanon tosign a pledge against supporting terrorism in their partnership accord. Britain, which led the drive for Lebanon to pledge to end the harboringof those deemed as terrorists, has dropped its demand. The move will ensurethe signing of an EU-Lebanon accord on Thursday. More than 80 percent ofLebanese imports are from EU states.
