EGYPT PLANS TO MODERNIZE SECURITY FORCES

CAIRO [MENL] -- Egypt intends to modernize its security forces with advancedtechnology amid the country's effort to fight Islamic insurgency. Officials said the security forces have been computerized to increasethe efficiency of counter-terrorist efforts. They said the forces are alsoundergoing training in anti-guerrilla measures and border security.
