U.S. SLAPS NEW SANCTIONS ON CHINESE FIRMS

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The Bush administration has approved new sanctions onChinese firms believed to have exported technology and components for Iran'sweapons of mass destruction program. U.S. officials said the sanctions on two Chinese companies were imposedon Jan. 16. The companies were alleged to have sent biological chemicaltechnology andcomponents for Iran's weapons programs.
