U.S. Detains 2 BAE Execs In Corruption Scandal
LONDON [MENL] -- Two senior BAE Systems executives have been detained in the
United States as part of a corruption investigation regarding arms sales to
Saudi Arabia.
British newspapers said a BAE chief executive officer and an
unidentified colleague were detained when they landed in Houston, Texas in mid-May. The
newspapers said U.S. agents seized laptop computers and other personal
equipment. Hours later, the executives were released.
The homes of the two men were also raided by the FBI. Both men have
homes and spend much of their time in the United States.
