IAI Awards Canadian Firm Fighter Subcontract
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- Israel's leading defense contractor has awarded a
Canadian firm a project to manufacture structural components of U.S.-origin
The state-owned Israel Aerospace Industries has awarded Canada's
Heroux-Devtek Inc. a contract to manufacture components used in IAI's
production of F-15 and F-16 structural assemblies. Executives said the
contract to Heroux-Devtek's subsidiary, Progressive Inc., would last for 10
years and could amount to $12 milion.
"Progressive is a proven supplier for the military aircraft platforms,"
Shimon Etedgi, director of procurement at IAI's Lahav Division, said. "Their
experience in manufacturing critical aircraft components was a key reason
for their selection."
