FIRST KASSAM-2 ROCKETS LAND IN ISRAEL

TEL AVIV [MENL] -- Palestinian insurgents have launched their first attackof the Kassam-2 short-range rocket on Israel. Three 120 mm Kassam-2 rockets were fired from the northern tip of theGaza Strip and landed in a field in Israel's Negev desert. Nobody was hurtin theattack and an Israeli patrol later found three Kassam launchers. The rocketswere said to have been fired by a timer. Later, Hamas claimed responsibilityfor the attack.
