RUSSIA EYES PARTICIPATION IN BAKU-CEYHAN

MOSCOW [MENL] -- Russia is examining the prospect of joining the U.S.-ledproject to construct an energy pipeline from Azerbaijan to Turkey. The Moscow-based RIA news agency quoted what it termed werewell-informed Russian sources as saying that the issue was discussed duringthe visit to Moscow by Azeri President Heydar Aliyev. Aliyev met Russianleaders last week and discussed a range of cooperation issues.
