GREECE LAUNCHES NEW MISSILE BOAT
ATHENS [MENL] -- The Hellenic Navy has introduced into service the first ofup to five missile boats in a project that exceeds $600 million. Defense Minister Yiannos Papantoniou attended the launching of the SuperVita-type missile boat at Greece's Elefsina Shipyards. The vessel was named"Lieutenant N. Roussen." The frigate was launched as part of a contract signed in January 2000for the construction of three Super Vita-type missile boats. The contractcontained an option for an additional four vessels.
