U.S. TO BOLSTER C2 PROJECT IN KUWAIT
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States has awarded a contract to boostdigital command and control capability for its military in Kuwait. The Defense Department has awarded a $21.3 million contract to TRWTactical Systems for services to equip air and land platforms for the U.S.Army in Kuwait. Under the contract, the company, based in Carson, Calif.,will equip 527 platforms with digital communications systems as part of aneffort to link the army's command responsible for coalition joint forces.Troops from Britain, Canada, the Czech Republic and Germany are also inKuwait.
