AMMAN [MENL] -- Jordan has been preparing to launch production of an
internal security vehicle.
Industry sources said the ISV would be produced in the Hashemite kingdom
for an export order. The name of the customer was not given.
Jankel Armouring has received an order for an unspecified number of
Hunter ISVs. The Hunters would be produced in the Jordan Light Vehicle
Manufacturing Plant, a joint venture of Jankel and the state-owned King
Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau.
The sources said the all-welded steel armor Hunter has been marketed to
the Gulf and other regions of the Middle East. The Hunter, with six firing
port observation windows, contains a crew of two and can transport six
soldiers.
