U.S. PRESSES NATO TO ESTABLISH MISSILE DEFENSE UMBRELLA

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States is pressing NATO members in Europe tolaunch preparations for a missile defense umbrella to stopintermediate-range missile attacks from Iran and Libya. U.S. officials said this will be a key topic on the agenda of DefenseSecretary Donald Rumsfeld during the NATO summit in Prague. The two-daysummit begins on Thursday.
