IRAN DEPLOYS 20 NAVAL VESSELS IN GULF

NICOSIA [MENL] -- Iran reports the deployment of 20 naval vessels in thePersian Gulf. Officials said the vessels are operating in cooperation with regionalcountries in the Persian Gulf and the Straits of Hormuz. They said the navalbuildup is part of an effort to modernize the force.
