YEMEN PLANS TO INCREASE COOPERATION WITH U.S.

CAIRO [MENL] -- Yemen plans to increase military and security cooperationwith the United States. Officials have acknowledged an intensification of Yemeni-U.S. effortsagainst Al Qaida along the Yemeni border with Saudi Arabia. They saidPresident Ali Abdullah Saleh has rejected calls to end or limit military andsecurity relations with Washington, which has led to the capture and deathof Al Qaida operatives.
