WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States has deemed Iraq's alleged procurementof a Ukraine radar as a major boost in Baghdad's air defense capability. A report by a team of British and U.S. government experts asserted thatIraq might have procured at least four Koluchga radar stations from Ukraine.The report, based on a week-long visit by the U.S.-British team to Kiev onOct. 13, expressed strong suspicion that Baghdad might have purchased theupgraded Kolchuga-M radar.
