ELBIT AWARDED ISRAEL BMS CONTRACT

TEL AVIV [MENL] -- Israel has awarded Elbit Systems a $30 million contractto help develop the first stage of a battle management system for themilitary. Israel's Defense Ministry has chosen Elbit Systems to serve as primecontractor for the military's Israel Battle Management Systems for BattalionCombat Teams. The program is meant for the supply of battle managementsystems for Israel's tank corps that would provide armored vehicleswith situational awareness and data communications.
