U.S. HAS CAPABILITY TO KNOCK OUT IRAQI SCUDS

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The U.S. military is said to have acquired thecapability to quickly track and destroy Iraqi medium-range missile launchersthat can strike Israel. A report by the Washington-based Center for Defense Information saidIraqi missiles and launchers could be destroyed within 10 minutes ofdetection. Detection assets could include spy satellites, fighter-jets andground-based early-warning radar.
