ISRAEL'S MILITARY PLANS CRACKDOWN ON DISOBEDIENCE

TEL AVIV [MENL] -- Israel's military plans to crack down on soldiers who disobey orders in an attempt to halt a government plan to withdraw from the Gaza Strip and northern West Bank in September 2005. Israeli military sources said commanders and officers were being trained to detect signs of insubordination within their units. The sources said the commanders were warned that soldiers might have been influenced by the emerging campaign of civil disobedience meant to halt any withdrawal from the northern West Bank and Gaza Strip and the forcible evacuation of their nearly 10,000 Israeli residents.
