TURKEY UNHAPPY WITH MPA TENDER

ANKARA [MENL] -- Turkey's government has been unhappy over efforts to acquire a maritimepatrol aircraft. The Defense Ministry has rejected bids by Western and other contractors submitted as part of a program to acquire 10 fixed-wing maritime patrol aircraft. Officials said the bids were deemed by the Defense Industries Undersecretariat, orSSM, as too high.
