IRAQ DEVELOPS PLAN FOR ELECTION SECURITY
BAGHDAD [MENL] -- The government has drafted a plan that grants Iraq'smilitary and police the lion's share of responsibility to ensure nationalelections on Jan. 30. Officials said the Interior Ministry has presented a plan that assignsthe task of security during the week of Iraqi elections on the nation'smilitary and police. They said the plan was meant to secure polling stationsand major roads to facilitate voting by about 13 million eligible Iraqis.
