U.S. REDUCES CONVOYS TO IRAQ

BAGHDAD [MENL] -- The U.S. military has reduced supply convoys to Iraq in aneffort to avoid insurgency attacks. U.S. military officials said many of the convoys have been replaced byair operations that deliver cargo directly from the United States toairfields in Iraq. They said the air cargo operations were being conductedlargely in the Sunni Triangle in central and northern Iraq.
