IRAQ REDESIGNS BORDER SECURITY

BAGHDAD [MENL] -- Iraq has restructured its border security forces. Iraqi officials said that over the last few weeks the Interior Ministryhas launched an effort to improve border security. They said the ministry'sgoal was to ensure control of Iraq's borders with Iran and Syria in 2006.
