HAMAS REJECTS PA CEASEFIRE

RAMALLAH [MENL] -- The largest Palestinian opposition group has rejected aceasefire declared by the Palestinian Authority. Hamas announced it would not honor a ceasefire declaration by PAChairman Mahmoud Abbas. Abbas said on Tuesday at an Arab-Israeli summit inEgypt that the PA and all insurgency groups would end attacks on Israel.Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon also announced an end to offensivemilitary operations in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
