UAE CAUTIOUS OVER ADDITIONAL U.S. AIRCRAFT
ABU DHABI [MENL] -- The United Arab Emirates has been careful not to commititself to additional aircraft deals with the United States. UAE officials said Abu Dhabi does not plan to sign contracts foradditional U.S. aircraft or missile systems. They said the military wouldfocus on the absorption of 80 F-16 Block 60 aircraft purchased from LockheedMartin for $6.4 billion. The first aircraft were scheduled to arrive in theUAE in May 2005.
