U.S. ARMY SENDS UGVs TO IRAQ

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The U.S. Army plans to send combat unmanned groundvehicles over the next few months. The UGVs were described as armed robots that could fire such weapons asmachine guns and rocket launchers. The army plans to use the robots toexamine suspected improvised explosive devices and search insurgencystrongholds.
