UAE SEEKS TO IMPROVE SPECIAL OPERATIONS

ABU DHABI [MENL] -- The United Arab Emirates has launched an effort toimprove the skills of the military's special operations forces. Officials said the new Special Operations Forces has expanded in an effort to fill counter-insurgency requirements in the emirates. They said the command, established in 2003, was seeking to flesh out its ranks of officers and combatants.
