ALGERIA BOLSTERED BY NEW EQUIPMENT

CAIRO [MENL] -- Algeria's military campaign against Islamic insurgents hasbeen bolstered by the delivery of advanced systems from Western contractors. Algerian sources said the military and security forces have been enhancedby deliveries of advanced non-lethal equipment from Western suppliers. Thesources said the equipment has come from such countries as Britain, France,Spain and the United States.
