U.S. MILITARY REPORTS IMPROVED ANTI-IED CAPABILITY

BAGHDAD [MENL] -- The U.S. military has improved its capability to counterinsurgency bombings in Iraq. Officials said the U.S. Army has perfected techniques to detect andneutralize so-called improvised explosive devices in Iraq. They said theimproved capability reflects enhanced equipment, technology and expertise bysoldiers.
