U.S. NAVY MAINTAIN STRENGTH IN GULF

ABU DHABI [MENL] -- The U.S. Navy plans to maintain its presence in thePersian Gulf for at least another year. Officials said the navy would continue its current strength amid thethreat of Al Qaida and other organizations. They said naval operations havebeen conducted in cooperation with Iran, which opposes the U.S. navalpresence in the Gulf.
