EGYPT'S PARLIAMENT OPPOSES ISRAELI GAS DEAL
CAIRO [MENL] -- Egypt's parliament has expressed opposition to amulti-billion dollar natural gas deal with Israel. Parliamentarians said the $2.5 billion project to sell Egyptian gas to Israel marked normalization of relations with they regard as Cairo's enemy. The proposed agreement has concerned Egypt's National Gas Company, the Egyptian-Israeli consortium EasternMediterranean Gas, and the state-owned Israel Electric Corp.
