U.S. APPROVES ISRAELI REQUEST FOR BUNKER-BUSTERS

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The Bush administration has approved an Israeli requestfor 100 laser-guided bombs meant to destroy underground bunkers, a weaponthat could be used in any air strike to destroy Iranian nuclear facilities. The Defense Department said the administration plans to sell 100 GBU-28sas well as associated equipment and services to Israel. The Pentagon'sDefense Security Cooperation Agency said the deal was valued at $30 million.
