GREECE PREPARES TO LAUNCH C-27J SQUADRON

ATHENS [MENL] -- The Hellenic Air Force has completed preparations to launchthe first squadron of advanced tactical air transports. Greece plans to launch operations of its first squadron of C-27J Spartantactical transport aircraft by June 2005. The air force was expected toreceive the first C-27J in mid-May after preliminary acceptance trials werecompleted in Italy.
